My apologies for not posting any information on Katsucon goingons or Artist Alley. The reasons for this are two-fold. First, there has been very little information to post. Secondly, I have been packing up for most of the month and actually moved into a new residence on Saturday.

At the moment here is the information that I *DO* have:

Artist Alley Check-In Hours
Friday: 10am - 9pm
Saturday: 9:30am - 6pm
Sunday: 10am - 2pm

Artist Alley hours of operation
24-hours throughout the duration of the convention.
Yes, that's right. If you really want to, you can stay behind your table and enjoy the AA for the entire con if you *really* wish to do so. In my opinion, this has the benefit that the staff is not going to come by and start kicking people out…nor is there anything stopping people from setting up early (or never tearing down!) if they so choose.

Badge Pickup
Really easy. If you Pre-Registered for the convention, you can go to the KAA (Katsucon Artist Areas) desk to check in (see above for hours), you will be given your AA badge as well as your convention badge. No standing in hideously long lines or showing up a day early (and STILL standing in hideously long lines) to pick up your badge. What a concept! I hope Otakon is watching and learns something from this.

Tax Documents
This is important to note and realize, especially since prior conventions for Katsucon have not been held in Maryland. Artists are going to have to get a Temporary Sales Tax IDs and they are expected to charge (and report) a 6% sales tax on their stuff. This is not new for Otakon people, but it is for Katsucon. As a convenience, the Comptroller is taking care of this for us, so when we show up for our badges, we will also get an ID. Also, an Exhibitor's Affidavit will need to be displayed as well (again, nothing new, for Otakon vets).

Table Space
While going through the Katsucon Forums, I found an artist in need of tablespace. Because the messages sent people I had previously invited to share the space I had left went unanswered, I have provided this person with space. So, sitting at our table will be myself, and .

I will say that I have every intention of being at the convention at around 9-ish so that I can get everything set up and such as early as possible, get the lay of the land, etc. If folks have questions about the A.R.C. let me know and I will try to answer them.
