This started off aster thinking about Transformers: The Movie of all things (and I’m talking about the real Transformers movie…not that stupid Bayformers crap.) which then got me to thinking about how the end result of a knockdown drag-out fight between Na’Yumi and Ki’Yora may end up. Sketched some things and then started the finishing process…

…which, by the way, I could spend some more time working on, such as proper lighting, shading, foreground and background effects, etc., etc. etc… but the fact of the matter is that I also just got tired of looking at this thing and wanted to get it to a “ok, this is good enough” phase and move onto something else...that and this pic was beating the living shit out of SAI and Photoshop started having some issues with it at some point because the original piece is 600 dpi

Na’Yumi staggered back from the force of the blow, the sharp crack of lightning harsh in her ears as another massive bolt slammed into her weakening arcane shield. T-There’s no way she could still be this strong.

“Fall! FALL!!!” Ki’Yora screamed with ancient hatred as she threw one massive, mountain-shattering bolt of burning lightning after another at her older sister.

Na’Yumi felt her defenses finally give way under the relentless onslaught of her sister’s rage. The last bolt shattered her shield and ripped into her body, throwing her back and into the crater wall. Ki’Yora grinned savagely as her opponent fell. Ki’Yora staggered and limped towards her sister, leaving a fresh trail of liquid lightning as she ignored her own severe injuries in favor of closing in for the kill.

Searing pain and the nauseating smell of burning flesh and ozone pulled Na’Yumi out of her daze. As her vision cleared she tried to stand. Failing, Na’Yumi fell to her knees with a combination of a yelp of pain and sputtering cough. Thinking quickly, she reached out to Vandil ned Elei and used some of her precious, rapidly draining reserves of Arcanum to both bring it to her hand and charge the artifact-staff. The dull, glass-like gems writhed to life and took on a soothing green color. I hope it’s enough… She tried to regain her footing, using Vandil ned Elei as partial support.

Ki’Yora watched her sister struggle to find her footing with dark amusement. “Heh…” her laugh was strangled on her lips as she coughed more blood. Spitting the glob of liquid lightning, she raised one hand as high as she could manage and began tapping into her own reserves. As the whirling ball of magenta lightning began whirling and coalescing in her clawed hand, Na’Yumi looked up. “…the great Naeyrthunamyria…on her knees…broken and beaten.” Ki’Yora muttered between ragged breaths, her cruel grin growing more sinister and triumphant as she reveled in her victory. “…I would have waited an eternity for this. It’s over Na’Yumi…”
